The FBO is holding a winter twig workshop on , at the University of Guelph Arboretum, at the J.C. Taylor Nature Centre. Brian Lacey will be the instructor. It will include a "laboratory" component for the morning, where we will learn the characters that help identify trees in non-leafy conditions such as bud scars, bud scales and bark. In the afternoon we will head out to the arboretum to put these skills into practice.
